Traktor4 deck synchronising question

Apologies, I'm new to DJ software but have been around audio software for sometime.

I have two decks here with a track in each.

I'm going to queue up a loop in deck 1, and a loop in deck2. Let's hit play on deck 1. That's looping quite nicely. So, we hit play on this loop in deck 2. The loop in deck2 starts immediately, even if the quantise button is on.

But what I want to know is how can I make this loop in deck 2 start when this loop in deck 1 begins. Any ideas?

Hello,

you pre hear the second loop you press and hold cup and release it if the first loop starts again. If you want it to play on pressing the cup button you can set this in the prefs under transport last setting on that page.

Thanks Uwe303 for your answer, but it doesn't seem to do what I want. If I press and hold the CUP button, when I release it, it doesn't wait for the start of the other loop?

my description is a manual method you have to listen to the loop/beat and, as i said, release the cup button on beat on the first measure

Hey, I watched your video. Are you mixing internally or externally? You might be able to achieve something similar by syncing the second deck to the master deck in beatsync mode. But even then, it only works if you want it to be accurate to within a single beat. Unfortunately, the quantization value for a track deck can't be changed in Traktor. This feature has been requested for many years, but it's never been implemented.

It would be much easier if you used a Remix Deck instead of a Track Deck in Traktor. With Remix Decks, you can adjust the quantization value and achieve what you're looking for much more easily.
