Cannot unlink faders and pan

I cannot unlink the faders and pan controls! It's driving me nuts.

I'm using the plugin inside of Pro Tools with a Mikro Mk3.

I can select tracks one at a time but still the faders all move togther.

I've restarted the Mikro and Pro Tools, reloaded the session etc and even tried without the micro connected. Still the damn things are linked together…

I do not have any "select" menus or options inside the plugin. Holding Ctrl, alt or cmd doesn't help.

I consider my self a fairly experienced engineer, but I cannotfor the life of me figure this out. This has been asked before but none of the answers make sense or tell me to use options that I don't seem to have.

Let's just forget the Mikro Mk3 for a second - If anyone one knows how to do this with the software that would be great!

It's only an issue with a kit I've made ( a factory kit modified then saved as a user kit) - other kits seem to be fine. When I load this kit all the faders and pans are grouped and I can't figure out how to ungroup them. I can load other kits into other groups in the same session and it's all fine, but not this one kit I've made.

you likely have all the sounds selected… or groups selected

deselect the sounds

often times if all sounds are selected… its diffucult telling if they are all selected or all unselected

Okay, I had written a long post refuting that but upon closer inspection it seems you're right.

The issue is, there seems to be no way to de-select them - I'm in the plugin version on MacOS. No mater what I do or press they all stay selected. Even if I go to another group or something. Looks like the group is saved that way too, so if I load it up again as a new group then all the sounds are selected. I've tried every combination of keys and a number of post say there should be a menu item to deselect in the header area but said menu item seems to not exist (I'm on version 3). Selecting different sounds in the group (by clicking the sound headers in the mixer or rows in the step sequencer) does not cause the other sounds to become deselected.

with your keyboard&mouse…try shift click sound or control click or alt click

you will see the shade of the sound/group change

normally theres a method of selecting and deselecting sounds with the controllers….

im unfamiliar with the mikroMK3…

Yes that's what everyone says but I can't figure out how to to do it with the Mikro! Can't find anyone who has answered this on the internet either (with a mikro)

I got it, finally! The trick was to CMD+Click on the first track header in the group (in the mixer). For some reason CMD+Click did nothing on other tracks.

Who knows, I honestly haven't had a software headache like this since the 90's 🤣

There's lots of strange stuff about the interface - the key commands are not the same as other mac software - it feels like I'm using windows - and things like pinch to zoom which has just become second nature on all software doesn't work.

IMO, the UI/UX needs a bit of work on the finer details to catch up - and it's ironic that V3 hasn't been out long! I've only just started with Maschine and already hoping they'll update it soon.
