Hello,
I'd like to buy a new MIDI controller. My first choice has been NI Kontrol MK3 S49, but as the price is really high, I am also considering other options. I believe that Kontrol is the best when it comes to the integration with the Maschine software as you can actually easily control NI plugin parameters and use basic transport control like play, stop, and record. However, I am not sure if this justifies the price. Do you think it is worth to invest more money into Kontrol MK3 because of the integration with the Maschine software (I mainly work in the Maschine environment)? I was wondering if it is possible to assign knobs/buttons in other MIDI controllers so that they can work as play/stop/record buttons in the Maschine software? That would probably eliminate all the doubts that I have. Controllers from Novation are much cheaper than Kontrol and have built-in chord/scale/arp modes as well - the one thing missing is some basic integration with the Maschine software so I am wondering if there is any workaround.
