MASCHINE MK3 TRANSPORT

How do I get the transport section of Maschine MK3 to work within Ableton 12 (transports work fine in standalone but not working when opened within Ableton) I have the Maschine 2 plugin.

Looking at the Control Surface section of Ableton and there is well over 100 controllers in there, but nothing that says Maschine MK3.

I did come across a few post mentioning downloading a template that included software scripts, is this really the only method? - I hate to touch anything thats software related - specially if its going to effect the host productivity or speed.

Also, is this something that comes across all NI hardware?

Right now I'm going to go ahead and complete this NI tutorial and see if I can get used to working with the transport buttons - I still have a few more days to see if I like it otherwise I can just return it.

If you want just transport then: You can use either the default Ableton Mackie or MCU script + Host Transport Control enabled in Controller Editor.
