[SOLVED] Update: Resolution
Hi all, this is now resolved.
The fix required specific intervention from NI Support. It turned out to be a conflict related to a Maschine 3 license.
Here is the exact sequence that worked, after standard troubleshooting failed:
Settings > System > Hold SHIFT > Reset
Big thanks to Michael John from support for figuring this out. Hope this helps anyone else stuck in this specific loop.
Hey @Jeremy_NI
Maybe this needs a manual de-registration on NI’s side? It seems like the registration is failing because the device is still registered to another account. Could someone from your team check whether the unit is currently assigned to a different user and remove that registration if necessary?
@t8dogg
Also, try a different Wi-Fi network. If you don’t have another one available, you can set up a mobile hotspot on your phone and connect to that.
Hello @Jeremy_NI Can you please attempt the manual de-registration? This makes sense to me because:
1 — I connected to another WiFi network, started the device and still get "Registration Failed" at Step 3. 2 — Note that the device appears to be already registered — it appears on the site under My Account —> My Products —> Registered Products, because I used the "Import to My Account" flow a few days ago. (The serial number on my device matches the serial number on the site's License Transfer page ). Many thanks @AdelV for the suggestion!
Did you not have a Maschine 3 license then?
I guess if the M+ had been updated but you didn't have the 3 license, it failed. A message would have been nice I suppose.
@t8dogg Sorry I was out of office and didn't see your post but I'm happy to see my colleagues could resolve the issue, thanks for posting the fix and to invite other affected customers to get in touch with support as they should in this case.
