Are newer versions of M+ more or less CPU efficient? How is stability?

I've been using M+ since it was first released and I love it. Because I have read the complaints of others on here, and because I haven't been interested in most of the newer features, I haven't updated my M+ for a long time. It has been really stable and only crashed in use once, and I don't feel like it's missing anything. So I am cautious about updating it in case it works less well afterwards. I am definitely not interested in using Kontakt libraries and stuff like that. The only thing I really miss from newer versions is the ability to use ensembles made on Reaktor 6.5. So how are people finding M+ after updating, in terms of stability and CPU use?

Haven’t tried the one that came out today but previous release is incredibly cpu efficient for me. I’m processing 4 external stereo tracks with a USB audio interface each with tons of FX and I’m always under 30% on the CPU. 🥳

It's too early to know about stability.

CPU usage varies depending on what that user personally does, so a reply can very well be irrelevant to you.

If I really wanted to know I'd just share a project, especially a demanding one and ask if someone with the latest version could play it, then you have a comparison that means something valid. If you upload something, I don't mind giving it a spin. It doesn't have to be an actual private project, it can just be a bunch of gebrish as long as it's similar in terms of amount of polyphony, instruments, fx, loops, samples, etc….

In comparison of built in library projects, yes the v3 M+ software uses more RAM and more CPU, when I questioned this, I was told that it is common for updates to use more resources, so take that for what you will.
