Upgrade to 15 CE

Hi everyone,

I have a question. I currently own NI Komplete 13 Standard and I’d like to upgrade to Komplete 15 Collector’s Edition. What’s the cheapest upgrade path to get there?

Is it better to go Komplete 13 → Komplete 15 Standard → Komplete 15 CE,
or Komplete 13 Standard → Komplete 13 CE → Komplete 15 CE?

There seem to be several possible routes — which one is usually the most cost-effective and commonly offered by Native Instruments or other sellers?

Also, does NI typically offer discounts on upgrades during Black Friday?

Any suggestions or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Do not Update from 13 Standard to 15 Standard first , if you have already planned an Upgrade later then Updating first is a pure waste of money !

Do at least one Upgrade , e.g. Upgrade from K13 Standard to K15 Ultimate or Upgrade directly from K13 Standard to K15 Collectors Edition. NI price structure is made in a way where it should not matter if you buy more consecutive Upgrades , e.g. Upgrade from Komplete Standard to Komplete Ultimate first and then later Upgrade from Ultimate to Komplete CE or if you go directly to Upgrading to Komplete CE. But if you already have a Komplete Standard then Updating from Standard to Standard first is a pure waste of money if you already plan to Upgrade later !

However there is no warranty that prices or price structure are not going to change one way or the other at some point. All you know is what you see now. You can calculate prizes using the prices found on the Komplete 15 Collectors Edition compare page.

Nobody that is not NI can promise you anything with respect to what will be on offer at the next sale , and nobody that is NI will tell you since they are not allowed before offer is published.

However then usually then the bundles have been discounted on the past sales so generally then you will do the best deal if buying at a sale. However sometimes the bundle offers has not been published until later in the sale and sometimes what you see is offers with bundles bundled with hardware.

I myself was so poor that I bought both my bundle upgrades at sales. First I bought an upgrade from Komplete Select to Komplete Standard at a sale and then at a later sale then I bought an upgrade from Komplete Standard to Komplete Collectors Edition.

But please also notice there is no guarantee that what kind of bundles that NI offers will stay the same over time between generation of bundles or that bundle content will be the same when a generation change occur. All we know is what present bundle generation (K15) consists of and offers. !
