What do you expect from ADE conferences next Thursday?
https://blog.native-instruments.com/ade-2025/
New controllers? New software? New mixer?
As always with Traktor: Hope for the best, don't expect anything.
Well NI released MX2 recently and lots of people want a MX4 or the rumoured F1mk2…
I'm not so optimistic neither but I will love to proved wrong and NI releasing more news!
We’re always let down by them, even the smallest update takes forever. Aside from the new backward version of the software and a teaser of the MX4, don’t expect anything else.
You might ask, why am I always bashing them? Well, when it comes to Traktor, expecting the worst usually turns out to be right.
I’d love for Traktor to prove me wrong too…
I find interesting the "DJing in 2026: Where Will You Fit In?" and the Richie one.
I feel you mate… I'm even concerned about the F1mk2… even released IDK if I will get it due how ancient feels Traktor against other djing software.
It's hard to overcome sadness of feeling so abandoned by NI but I want to believe the worst has passed and the future brings some new hope. It's too late maybe?
I'm just hopeful that we'll get an ETA on when the codebase is modernised. This will (hopefully) make it more easier to fix new bugs and introduce new features.
I think Traktor is fine in itself. I have three pain points with the software: * Stability & Performance (this is more pronounced on Windows machines apparently) * Better library management * Real-time stem separation and remix decks integration.
I've used every other software solution, and I really don't see that much wrong with Traktor, at least from my use case.
They already confirmed the mx4 for next year. I have not seen anything that points to a f1mk2.
Don't hype yourself up. First rule about being a Traktor user.

[09:58]Kaiwan_NI : Hi! There won't be a physical unit/prototype for everyone to play with, but you definitely shouldn't miss our presentation next Wednesday if you're there: https://www.amsterdam-dance-event.nl/en/program/2025/the-next-chapter-for-traktor/2749196/
If multiple new hardware releases and cutting edge software features are important to you, Traktor might be the wrong choice.
Like I said, "expecting the worst..."
And now we’re left with "Traktor Play" at this year’s ADE. If this is meant to lay the foundation for a new software like Djay Pro, that would be great, We can expect that sometime next century.
Hopefully, they can keep up and continue improving and updating it, unlike Traktor 2.
VirtualDJ LE, Serato Lite, DJuced, and Mixxx don’t have much of a fan base in this market segment. Why would anyone will use stripdown version of Traktor instead of Rekordbox on FLX4?….
Once again, "what are they thinking?"
Don't answer I'm not really asking.. Whatever the reason is don't make business or consumer sense
So a Keynote "Next Chapter for Traktor" on Wednesday 22nd 15:30 - 16:15 . And on Thursday a full program Native Instruments ADE Lab.
All these things, can you watch them back somewhere if not physically present? As far as I understood you need to register to participate, and registration is closed if I understand it correctly..
Not aware of MX4 confirmation. It's the common step but you know… glad to see some info from NI itself.
F1mk2 was long rumoured but that's all. Any single clue I'm aware of but lots of users asking for new D2, remix decks, stems etc. NI updated X1, Z1… so hopefully it will be an update F1 (?)
I hope Qt updates lets NI update Traktor with all the wishlist missing features. Not sure if "code restart" again but who knows…
ATM I'm more Djay user or VDj than Traktor user but that's saying a lot since the last time I dj was on traktor years ago. In fact was around the time Djay had spotify the first time (way before C19)
Traktor has unique features that connect with my teenage-era (Hip Hop) but since my present and future seems more tied to karaoke than mcing I keep an eye on Vdj for sure. Then the dub side needs some tools that only Traktor can provide with its flexibility for certain tasks. I can ditch my mad scientist side and just mix A>B and then whatever app could do the job.
I will love a new F1mk2 just to be able to live mangle&juggle my instrumentals with a vinyl record…

This puts some sense into the roadmap for ADE conferences. Has been so long since NI and Pioneer break up… none of them are the same to be precise.
Brilliant marketing idea from Traktor, AT don’t have to do anything, NI offered free software to them, AT is like “ Yay! Another free software to add into our flexible entry level controllers”
And NI expecting to compete FLX4 with MX2? Where FLX 4 supports every softwares under the horizon 😅
Let’s say beginners went with MX2 or the Traktor Play, only will find out how outdated the full pro version is…? the pillar is weak and old to hold
Should just focus on selling controllers, release with multi-software support, when they make revenue from that invest in to improve software
Out of the box mappings for wide spread hardware is great :) Love it.
And apparently AT will allow Djay and Traktor to read and write to Rekordbox USBs. Also great.
More like AT can’t stop USBs already, no choice but to open…
Lexicon is free converting between Dj softwares, there is other ways to export too, you did share in GitHub if I remember correctly
Yeah but build in directly into your favorite DJ software, without installing something first, is straight up the better user experience.
This will also allow you to take a rekordbox USB, plug it into Traktor and play the tracks directly. At least I hope so, as this works on Djay. Writing this however I come to think of that Native might screw this up somehow :D
