So, I'm attempting to uninstall some NI plugins following the 'How to Uninstall' instructions to the T (More on that later), but it seems to be genuinely impossible.
No matter how many times I delete the .json file, when I restart my computer and NA, NA puts the file back, and the plugin is there needing repair. I've deleted the file both before and after closing NA, no difference. Tried with multiple plugins, same deal.
Is there a secondary .json file location I dont know about that also needs to be deleted?
While we are on the subject of .json files, why do the NA 'How to uninstall' instructions point to completely the wrong location? It points me to the location I have my content installed, instead of where the applications are installed. There is not a single .json file on that entire SSD, so I'm very confused as to why this is.
Initially I though this was a bug or mistake, but it's persisted for months and several updates, so I have to assume it's actually intentional, but I'm absolutely perplexed why they would make this decision as it seems to serve zero purpose other than to irritate and confuse.
