What's the correct syntax in KSP to affect many groups at once?

I'm developing a (little bit complex) virtual instrument in Kontakt 6 and I'm facing the following challenge:

I have 220 groups (timbres) repeated 4 times, so the user can create up to 4 layers with any of the 220 instruments; the groups are repeated this way: 0-219, 220-439, 440-659 and 660-879; so, section of groups will represent a layer which a conventioned to call TONE: Tone 1, Tone 2, Tone 3 and Tone 4.

I need to purge the groups which I do not want to play, and allow one group to any of the tones…

I need a syntax for KSP that can work to purge an interval of groups at once… what is the correct expression? For example, this one doesn't work: "purge_group (1 to 219)", if I intend to allow (unpurge) group 0…

If you're happy to specify all 4 "tones" at once you could disallow $ALL_GROUPS then allow the 4 groups you want.

If not, you would have to disallow each set of 220 groups with a while . . . end while loop, then allow the wanted group.

If you use it a lot you could write a function to do this, but since unfortunately KSP functions don't accept arguments, you'd have to do a separate one for each "tone".

I've found the difinitive solution for this issue (and several others in my project)…

some months ago I used 3 different IA for developing acomplex VBA Script, and I had success only with Google Gemini, so I supposed I could succeed in this case too (in spite of many videos I watched about using IA for KSP, all them bringing the same answer: it is complete failure).

So I did, I had a "little talk" with Gemini…

The virtual guy inside proposed me some solutions that I honestly did not believe that would run - things I never saw inside any Kontak script… but they were effective, REALLY… the solution proposed for the syntax refering to a great interval of groups is first to declare this:

declare const $MIN_GROUP_L1 := 0

declare const $MAX_GROUP_L1 := 219

declare const $MIN_GROUP_L2 := 220

declare const $MAX_GROUP_L2 := 439

declare const $MIN_GROUP_L3 := 440

declare const $MAX_GROUP_L3 := 659

declare const $MIN_GROUP_L4 := 660

declare const $MAX_GROUP_L4 := 879

Which includes all of my 4 blocks of 220 groups (my "tones");and then insert a the commands like this:

on_ui_control ($P1)

$i := $MIN_GROUP_L1

while ($i < = $MAX_GROUP_L1) purge_group ($i, 0)

inc ($i)

end while

purge_group ($P1, 1)

It worked PERFECTLY! All 220 groups for each Layer (tone) is purged and only the group selected in my Layer Display is loaded.And not only this issue, but Gemini helped me to solve a lot of other problems (of course, a little patience is required sometimes the solutinos proposed have to be "discussed"… Well, as a result, I have my Kontakt instrument working perfectly now!So I highly RECOMMEND: yes, Google Gemini can help you to develop KSP scripts
