MX2 could have been best if they add on these...

There are so many questions in my head. I really don't understand a lot of things… My only question to them is: "What were they thinking?" This could have been the best beginner and also all levels controller.

TRS outputs would have made this controller instantly make sense.
Support for Djay Pro, Serato, and Virtual DJ

That's it. With just that, they could have swept the market.

Why should NI add support for other DJ software? And how? Especially if we talk about Serato which needs special blessed holy hardware to even unlock?
Support for other software has to be added by its developers.

Why not? every other controllers coming out recently supports multi dj platforms, its not like traktor have most advance software and leading the market then ok dont support other sofwares..

Plus, Where is Traktor revenue comes from? selling controllers correct? more software support more sales, its not hard to understand.

how much adding TRS costs? 2$? or 20$?

i would pay 50$ more and get this controller, but with what it is now i pass

I actually agree that this could make sense seen from some perspective. However then I think that for every feature such as this then the problem is the price for adding the feature and the added cost for the unit.

What 'happened' I think is that N.I. did one of their usual cost benefit analysis and came to the conclusion that too few would care for the feature while they could most likely make the unit a much more popular choice if keeping price where it is now : 399,00 € (below € 400) .

To sweep the market it needed to be a completely bus powered device

MANY bedroom DJs just won't go near this due to the power supply, because they won't be able to use it in situations where a power socket isn't nearby.

Well, my opinion is based on the fact that they've already made this controller, and a small tweak could make a huge difference, rather than changing a lot of things.

Anyway, if you're smart like you sounded here, there's a cable called USB-C to DC. You just need the right cable and a power bank I've been powering my gear this way without any problems. even S8 + D2 combo

The benefit of this setup is that you get superior audio and mic quality.
Also, when you plug it into an iPad or laptop, it doesn't mess up your device's battery over time like non bus powered controllers do. forget about plugging phone

My first thought was "No XLR???" until someone pointed out that the S2 it replaces didn't have them either. USB powered would have been nice, but I'm guessing that all the lighting needs the additional power. As @hardbea7 says, you could use a power bank with a DC-DC converter, same as people use to power a M+ to use where there's no power.

While you can use a USB C to 15v barrel, I doubt 99% of people will do it. Most will just don't know about it. Some will find it "scary", you can see in the M+ powerbank thread that they hesitate because they might fry their gear.

And you still need to spend to money on a cable that you will just use for NI gear, and a powerbank.

I wish it had a low power mode for USB only.

It's an entry level/beginner product (despite the pricing) so XLR or balanced outs are not required. The mini jack output is evidence of the intended use.

Support from other software comes from those companies, not NI.

I think it's more disappointing that Traktor hasn't added other streaming providers or real time stem separation.

If NI don’t reach out to them how would they know? They will not come and ask if NI making new gear, if they have I’m sure they tired of asking…

I'm probably the only one who doesn't understand why they installed USB-C instead of Type-B.
And I agree with the question asked earlier. Why couldn't they have installed a TRS?
Is it really such a terrible audio interface that it can't be used on a professional stage?
Thank you for at least installing FX controls and providing Traktor Pro 4.

I'm undecided about the second point. From a "professional" perspective, you're right, and I also look at the ports and outputs of all devices first. However, the MX2 is simply a very well-equipped entry-level controller in terms of controls. So, it might seem like it should be more than it actually is.

Other entry-level devices from other manufacturers also have comparable features in this regard. It's probably just not intended to be used to rock a large stage without at least one professional mixer in the chain.

The same way the rest of us know that there's a new controller around. Sometimes though, they may have access to the unit in advance. They just haven't announced support yet.
