Massive X looks in wrong folder for user presets

I used to have my user presets in folder A. Now I have them in folder B.

When I click "Show user content folder" in the Massive X menu, it opens folder B.

But somehow, Massive X is still "looking" in folder A for my presets as evidenced by the error when I try to load any of them, which says:

"Unable to load preset file C:/user/…./folder A"

How can I get past this hurdle without an option to point Massive X to a specific folder? I have looked and it doesn't appear like I have that option, but please forgive me if I have overlooked it somewhere.

I have looked in Native Access and also skimmed through the relevant posts here, but none seem to have an identical issue.

Personally I then I am not aware if you can switch the location of the user presets folder in Massive X. If so then I did not myself find it documented in the manual.

Also manual says , quote :

From version 1.3.1 onwards, all new user presets are stored in a dedicated Presets subfolder in the user content directory, located on your computer: Documents/Native Instruments/User Content/Massive X/Presets.
User presets from earlier versions will still be read from the folder: User Content/Massive X.

Thank you! It's a bummer that there's no way to have your own dedicated folder for presets, let alone change its location. It makes it so hard to manage and back up.

Solving the above somewhat by just copying over my old presets from the old folder to the new has also generated a whole new problem. Now all the presets are visible to or even three times in the list and I seem to have no way to remove the redundant ones which don't work anyway because they still point to the old path.

Why is this such a messy solution? It would be infinitely easier if they just let me make my own preset banks.

But it has always been possible to create sub folders within that and even renaming them does not cause a preset not to load, only moving them completely out of the main user folder would do that

Unfortunately Massive X still does not respect the sub folder structure within to create browsable user banks so I have to resort to a third party product to enable user banks to be created

Also I think that tool mentioned by Kymeia (Preset Banker) is Mac only (?) (Your post is tagged Win 11).
