Trying to remap just a few simple controls on the D2 has given me more problems than any other midi controller. I am attempting to simply remap the the top four FX knobs to be stem deck filters, and the buttons below them to toggle the stem filters on/off.
The issue im having is when entering browse from the D2 screen the four buttons LED's go dark and when a new song is loaded they go back to mirroring the FX unit state, until i press them a couple times to get the LED state to match the stem filter on/off state they are midi mapped to. This only happens when a song is loaded through the D2 browser screen. If I load a new track via drag and drop the issues does not take place. Override factory mapping is selected for all new mappings, seems like some weird command programmed in the D2 browsing.
The purpose of me remapping these contols and switching to D2's in the first place is to look at the laptop as little as possible while DJing. This defeats the point if everytime I select a track I have to look at the laptop and akwardly press all the buttons to get the LED's to follow the filters on/off state.
Does anyone have any advice? Seems like the only option to resolve some of these small quarks that end up becoming large issues is to edit the firmware file and recompile it myself. I REALLY dont want to go down that path again so any advice helps.
