Lost my music hard drive. My time Machine backup drive had failed. Thanks Apple for Time Machine not letting me know the drive went south!
Any way I was left with a drive that had hundreds of numbered folders. I used Mac Linux to pull those file off the bad drive and have come up with maybe 9K of the original 80K songs I had.
During a system update Apple also removed iTunes from my iMac and replaced it with the Music app which is a nightmare to work with. Originally Traktor was pointed at an iTunes library which is now gone. The music I have recovered is now in a folder called Music on a brand new drive.
How do I point Traktor at the new music source and by doing that will I lose my playlists that I have defined in Traktor? I have scaled back my DJing to just classic rock so if I need to get those files I have about 5K on my iPad where I ws using Traktor DJ 2 and am hoping to get those files back to my iMac.
Any suggestions?
