MacBook requirements for Traktor Pro 4 w S8

I've been using my S2 MK3 without problems (both Traktor Pro 3 and more recently 4) for the past year with my 2020 Macbook Pro with Apple M1 Chip and 8GB of RAM.

I recently got a new (old) S8, and it intermittently blinks/restarts, or the sound cuts out or stalls when playing. There is nothing else that indicates any issues with the laptop itself.

When I was troubleshooting, I tried to run it on my work Macbook, which is a 2023 M3 with 16GB of ram, and it works perfectly.

Is there anything I should try to see if I can get it to work on my M1 MacBook, or do I need to buy a new one? It's not an option for me to use my work computer long term.

Your M1 MacBook should be perfectly capable of working with your S8. Considering the time when the S8 was released the MacBooks had much less performance as every MacBook with Apples own chips.

Do you use exactly the same setup with both books? Same cables, hubs, docking stations? Same power supply? Do you use the original NI power supply? Have you tried different USB cables? Sounds like an issue with power and/or data connection. Have you tried with WiFi an Bluetooth turned off an your MacBook?
