Good afternoon, I'd like to know how to configure my Traktor Pro so I can control the mixes from my external mixer. I'm not sure if I have the output and input routing set up correctly. When I set the internal mode to internal, the music plays through the speakers, but when I set the external mode to external, nothing plays. Thank you.
You didn't tell which mixer you use. I assume you are using a DJ mixer that is really an audio mixer and not some kind of controller.
With your Traktor Audio 6 you need to use External mode. Traktor outputs each of its decks as an unmixed audio signal in that case. Like if each deck is its own CDJ or Turntable. Mixing ist done externally by your mixer and use of faders, EQs and other stuff your mixer can do is not reflected within Traktor Pro. You need to connect the outputs your Audio 6 with RCA cables to the line inputs of your mixer. Ch A outputs to one mixer channel, Ch B outputs to another. You have to connect your speakers to the main outputs of your mixer.
You will need the inputs of your Audio 6 only if you want to record your mix or use Traktor Scratch/DVS functionality. In that case you also have to grant Traktor Pro access to microphones in macOS system settings. If you want to use a Mic it is best to connect it to your mixer.
If your mixer is a controller you can set Traktor to Internal mode but you have to load or create a mapping that tells Traktor which knob, button, fader, encoder should control what function inside of Traktor.
My problem is that when I select output routing mode, the music doesn't play through the mixer.
From the screenshots it looks correct. What mixer do you have?
Did you select USB on the mixer itself on top of the channel? Edit: Oh, if you use the A6 and not USB from the mixer you of course don't have to do select USB on the mixer itself. I assume you use RCA cables from A and B from the A6 to an input on the mixer? Can you take a picture?
Which mixer do you use? How is it connected to your Traktor Audio 6? Like I described? Does the mixer play any signal if you connect a CD-Player or any other audio source with a RCA cable to it?
Yes, my Akiyama mixer plays a signal when I put the CDs in the CDJs, but it only plays a signal when I put it in external mode. However, the problem persists because no audio comes out of my speakers. However, when I put it in internal mode, the mixer doesn't play a signal, but I can hear it through my speakers.
You need 2 stereo RCA cables, that go from the A6 OUT B and OUT A into the back of the mixer, into a Line In.
Not from master.
Can you take a picture of your setup?
This is my setup mixer
this is my setup audio 6
Mic permission issue?
If you can explain me mic permission!?
this is my problem
Navigate to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Microphone, and then enable Traktor's access from there.
