Maschine 2 refuses to create a path to the (downloaded) Onedrive-map on my C-drive. Whatever I try it keeps saying: an entry with the same location already exists. But it doesn't!
We don't recommend using folders synced to a cloud service with our products. What path exactly are you trying to create and for what reason? Can you share screenshots of the issue?
I agree in not using a cloud service for NI-products so I first downloaded the relevant NI folder to laptop. Onedrive automatically places that folder in a folder called 'Onedrive'. So the NI-files, projects etc are here: \users\user\onedrive\documents\nativeinstruments. You cannot change that path in Onedrive. Unfortunately Maschine 2 uses a standard directory: \users\user\documents\nativeinstruments. Maschine won't let you change that path either (I tried everything). Two stubborn pieces of software and I'm stuck :-).
OneDrive also messes with folder structure and file names due to the 260-character limit for paths - not good for sample folders
Onedrive automatically places that folder in a folder called 'Onedrive'.
One drive will only do something like that if you download to folders that are encompassed by what OneDrive backup..
Also you can setup yourself which folders OneDrive backup and turn off backup of standard folders also.
.
Yes, I understand and thanks for your comment. The NI-folder I mentioned is not a backup folder, I downloaded it especially as the content-folder for Maschine 2. That's not the problem, the problem is two seperate paths..
Tricky one. I've created a ticket for you and forward it to my colleagues from support, hopefully they can help out. Please check your inbox.
