Ok,

I am really really really thankful for the effort @colB and @gentleclockdivider have put into trying to help me solve this. I'll try to be a little clearer here about what my goal is and where i'm at right now.

This is part of a larger structure consisting of several core macros inside a single core cell, but for testing purposes i copied the core macro and pasted it in a new core cell. From the outside, the testing structure looks like this:

I'm using modulation of the oscillator to be able to test whether the gating inside the core cell/macro is working. This is the current structure of the macro inside the core cell:

The structure has gone through some changes and is currently following (i think) a solution suggested by @colB . Previous attempts would either only pass signal after an initialisation event or pass signal and cut out when i turned the Gate (G) knob. As it is now, i'm not having those problems any more. But i'm not seeing the BoolCtrl2L output changing on my Numeric Readout module so something is still off.

First thing I would do here is use a scope to look at the output. A numeric only updates 20 times a second, and depending on the frequency, you might miss all the interesting stuff. It looks to me that with a very low threshold level 0.7*0.1, more of the outputs at these settings will be zeros.

'Wire debugging' is similar in that way. Sometimes all the good stuff falls between visual updates!

In some cases, I will use a peak detector instead of a scope, but in this context, a scope is better.

One detail is that when handling audio like this, I would only drive the BoolCtrl2L with the audio, not with the gate, so you don't need the event merge. This is because you only need to know the output on audio ticks in this context. Updates to the gate can wait until the next audio tick.

If you post an actual .ens, it's much easier to test. I'm not going to rebuild this from scratch :)
