guitar rig and every other amp sim has output issues

Ive been trying for hours to figure out how to get the output to actually produce sound. for some reason those shitty browser amps like noisebox have no problem, but its the ones like th3 or guitar rig, fl, etc that have the exact problem.

yes i already have asio4all and ive tried every config on it. yes my volume on my mixer and guitar is all the way up.

i have a airgoo mixer with a electric guitar that works fine and has no issues.

You did not specify your OS or actual audio interface - unless an "Airgoo" mixer is it? AND ASIO4 All is never a solution to anything. This is most likely the root of your issue.

GR7 requires a reasonably priced ($-$$) and properly configured ASIO based audio interface (think Presonus, Focusrite, Native Instruments etc etc) and works perfectly with all of them.

At the other end of the scale are pro level interfaces ($$$-$$$$$) interfaces like UAD, RME etc - and as a guitar player who regularly uses GR7, Scuffman S-Gear, Ampire (Studio One) and may more - I can guarantee it works flawlessly with all of them.

I don't think that it is "guitar rig and every other amp sim" that has 'output issues'.

Most likely this is an 'issue' related to your driver use and your Windows driver settings.

I can only give suggestions , it is up to you if you want to follow them.

There is two ways to try to fix it. (provided that you are using Windows)

One way is to try to route your way out of it using the Voicemeeter Banana .

Another way to try to solve the problem would be try using the Steinberg built-in ASIO Driver in the way described below here.

However then since Windows sometimes can be particularly troublesome when it comes to sound driver issues and because that I can not help you with the settings details then you are advised to take a Windows backup before that you start changing settings or at very least make a manually made Widows restore point.

Try using Steinberg built-in ASIO Driver: information & download for all music programs and DAW

then also do the following :

Open a Windows Administrator Terminal/Command prompt

in command prompt type mmsys.cpl

hit enter

Select tab Playback , Select your active audio device (e.g., your speakers or headphones), right click and click Properties.

Select tab Advanced . Uncheck both options under Exclusive Mode (Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device Give exclusive mode applications priority)

Click Apply and OK.

Also remember to check that the Steinberg built-in ASIO Driver Setup (x64) is setup to use your audio device (Found in Windows Start menu after Steinberg driver installation).

Please notice though that the Steinbergbuilt-in ASIO Driver from what other people say is one of them 'not a real ASIO driver' and that it may give more latency than some other 'ASIO' drivers.

What's the exact interface you're using, and are you running a proper ASIO driver for it, ie not ASIO4ALL/Steinberg built-in etc

The Airgoo mixer doesn't seem to come with ASIO drivers, so that creates a pretty big problem for using high end music software including amp sim software like Guitar Rig or any mainstream DAW.

It's a bit like putting cheap tires on a high end sports car.

I've always avoided using audio interfaces that don't ship with decent ASIO drivers.

As I suspected. OP needs to get a real audio interface.
