Guitar Rig 7: switching presets live with a midi foot controller

I recently bought Guitar Rig 7 and love the sounds. What I'm struggling with is how to switch its presets. In most guitar effect plugins there are 4-8 "slots" to hold presets that are then easily mapped to a midi foot controller. Why doesn't Guitar Rig have these? I have found a semi-complicated work around in Ableton building an effects rack, but would love to find a simpler solution in Guitar Rig. How can I identify 4 presents and map them directly to my midi foot controller? Do I have to use macros? If so, how? Thanks in advance for your help!

You can map two different MIDI messages to go to the Previous or Next preset in the currently selected list of presets.
- In Preferences > MIDI enable the MIDI controller you wish to use.
- In the regular GUI
- right click on the up arrow next to the preset name
- and select Learn MIDI Control
- and then press the desired button on your MIDI control to go to the previous preset
- right click on the down arrow next to the preset name
- and select Learn MIDI Control
- and then press the desired button on your MIDI control to go to the next preset
- right click on the up arrow next to the preset name
After that's done, pressing the buttons on your MIDI controller will go to the previous and next presets on the currently showing list of presets.
