OK I think I've reached a stage where I can summarise this thread, and what I'd like to see with Maschine after hammering my head on it for the last few weeks. I was basically a "new user" all over again, although I'm not inexperienced so perhaps these observations may be helpful. BTW I haven't got anywhere near automation yet. Maybe I'll tackle that minefield a few software revisions down the line.

FIX CONFIRMED BUGS

1) Fix Maschine Jam browse window which moves when Windows scaling isn't set to 100%. I think this has already been reported on this thread:

2) Loading a User Group template doesn't recall the Group's Channel or Start Note for some reason.

NECESSARY CONTROLLER ENHANCEMENT.

3) Please provide a pitch preview option for the Maschine Controller (please don't just limit it to the MK3!). This might seem a trivial enhancement but it's pretty important at least for my workflow. It really should have been there from the start. This is a must and Maschine Studio should be supported.

NECESSARY ENHANCEMENTS FOR STANDALONE APP

4) At the very least get Maschine to receive and process MIDI Time Code in song mode. Additionally if possible, get Maschine to Send Midi Time Code and MIDI Clock. Now Rewire has gone we need decent timeline sync'ing.

5) Have a +Sounds button next to +Routing +Patterns. At present I can't change routing via a user template without erasing the existing sound.

6) Make groups automatically available as individual MIDI Ports and Sounds would automatically be routed to the 16 Channels of each Port. It could be triggered via the main menu much like Group MIDI Batch setup I guess.

7) Support for MONO output, at the moment I have to PAN Left and Right to workaround this.

8) Standalone app needs a Stop transport button (please!).

9) Improve performance as much as possible (this goes for the plugin too).

10) Maschine Studio PDF manual for Maschine 3 software.

NICE TO HAVE

11) Ability to drag events/clips in Song mode to DAW audio and MIDI tracks (not just in ideas mode),

12) Ability to disable patterns/clips in Song mode, they will be greyed out and won't play until enabled.
