In Native Access, add third-party Kontakt libraries

Installing a new Mac Studio M4.

In Native Access I'm trying to add third-party Kontakt libraries (East West Libraries in this case), I add serial number, then I click on "add product", I choose the library location, and click "add product" and the answer is "The path is invalid".

How can I add my old East West Kontakt libraries?

Quote : Choose the library folder containing the .nicnt file. This folder must contain the .nicnt file!

Ref. : Native Access Error: "Path is invalid"

So sounds as if your library does not contain the needed .nicnt file.

Are you installing on an external hard drive? What is the format of that drive? On Mac it should be APFS: Notes on Hard Drive Formats on Mac Computers

Exactly which "old East West Kontakt libraries"?

Depending on how old - they may not be part of Native Access at all…

    Hi,

    my old EastWest libraries are:

Boesendorfer 290, EWQLSO Gold Edition, EWQLSO Gold Ed PRO XP, Percussive Adventures 2, RA, Stormdrum Intakt, Stormdrum Kompakt, Symphonic Choir.

Although none of them contain a .nicnt file, three of the libraries were added by Native Access without any problem (Boesendorfer 290, EWQLSO Gold Edition and Percussive Adventures 2), while for the others I always got the message "The path is invalid".

All of my libraries are stored in an NVME external drive, APFS format, connected to a thunderbolt 5 port.

Is there a chance to obtain the .nicnt files for EWQLSO Gold Ed PRO XP, RA, Stormdrum Intakt and Kompakt and Symphonic Choir?

I paid for those libraries and I don't see any reason why I can't use them anymore.

    Thank you all

Please check this article about the EOL of Service Center and for some older products: Service Center and Legacy Products End of Life

For the ones that are still being activated by Native Access you shouldn't have a problem and my colleagues from support can help. I also invite you ro read the FAQ.

For Intakt and Kompakt, I don't think it's even possible to install on current operating systems. I see that you are already in contact with my colleagues, please get back to them if the troubleshooting steps were not helpful and let them know about the specifics of your case.

I've just been through to support about EWQLSO gold XP and their solution was to uninstall native access 2 and install native access 1. Then find the content using NA1 then reinstall native access 2. You can install native access 1 here https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/209544789-Installing-Native-Instruments-Products-on-a-New-Computer?_gl=1%2Avinoh%2A_gcl_au%2AMTkzOTU4NDQzNC4xNzUwODQ3NjkzLjk4MTU4NDM5NC4xNzUwODQ3Njk1LjE3NTA4NDc3NzI.%2A_ga%2ANDAyMzcwMjM1LjE3NTA4NDc2OTM.%2A_ga_S4HX7NRXLW%2AczE3NTA4NTgwMzEkbzIkZzEkdDE3NTA4NTg3OTEkajUkbDAkaDEwNzgxODM4MTY

I'll be trying this once I've re-installed - relocated all the libraries that I can via NA2.

    @Jeremy_NI ,

    Thanks for your support,

I launched Native Access 1 from the system drive of my old Mac Pro, removed fro the computer and inserted into a docking station connected to my new Mac Studio, without needing to uninstall Native Access 2.

In Native Access 1 I was able to install libraries that I couldn't install with NA2 so now I have all the libraries working in Kontakt 6 full version.

I tried to load the EastWest libraries into Kontakt 8 player, but they fail to load, so I have another question: if I purchase the full version of Kontakt 8, will I be able to load EW libraries into it like I can now in Kontakt 6? If the answer is yes then, since the upgrade to Kontakt 8 costs only €66, I will upgrade.

    Let me know, thanks
