Update vs Upgrade

in Komplete General

I have Komplete 8 running on Windows 10. I need to upgrade to Windows 11 and it looks like Komplete 8 will no longer work on it.

I'm trying to figure out how much it will be to upgrade to Komplete 15 (Standard?).

    Well - there is no requirement to upgrade Win 10 - until maybe Oct 15, 2025.

    And if you do decide to roll into Windows 11 - Kontakt 8 is fully supported.

    As far as your "upgrade" price to Komplete 15 - that all depends on what you currently have (or do not have) for existing NI Products.

    Summer of Sound is on - best time of the year to upgrade.

    If you log into the NI website with the same user that has the Komplete 8 licence you should see the discounted price for the Update which is what you need.

    Updates are version numbers, eg K8 to K15 with the same type, eg Standard/Ultimate/Collector.

    Upgrades are Standard → Ultimate → Collector which isn't what you want.
