Machine Hardware and Protools

So I've been able to successfully integrate my Kontrol s49 into Protools. Transport controls, midi recording and everything else I need works. I'm having trouble using my machine + as a midi controller on the same way. I can see through the mixer that I'm triggering pads and something is registering on the track based on on the volume responding and sound, but no midi data is recording to the aux tracks that corresponds to the pads being trigger. Any help on what I'm doing wrong. I believe I've watched every video available

Only the Komplete Kontrol keyboards mk2 and mk3 have an host integration with Pro Tools, not the Maschine Plus or Maschine MK3 controller. You can use it to control the Maschine plug-in inside Pro Tools or as a regular MIDI controller, you will need to turn it to MIDI mode by pressing SHIFT + MIDI/CHANNEL. You will need to set the Maschine Plus in Controller mode too.
