Native SMPTE Signal Generation in TRAKTOR PRO

I would like to propose the implementation of a feature that could greatly enhance the value and versatility of your software ecosystem: the native generation of SMPTE (LTC) signal within TRAKTOR.
Currently, solutions like ShowKontrol by Pioneer DJ offer advanced integration between DJ performance and lighting, video, and visual effects systems through the use of SMPTE or Art-Net protocols. This functionality allows for precise time synchronization with other live production systems, which is increasingly essential in professional performances and large-scale events.
The lack of native SMPTE support in TRAKTOR presents a limitation for DJs and producers looking to seamlessly integrate their setup with lighting control software (such as Resolume, Madrix, GrandMA, among others) without relying on third-party workarounds or complex routing configurations.
I would like to suggest that your development team consider:
- Implementing native SMPTE (LTC) signal generation in TRAKTOR PRO, with the ability to route the LTC audio to a dedicated output channel;
- Adding support for additional synchronization protocols such as Art-Net, OSC, or MIDI Timecode, to further improve interoperability with lighting and visual production systems.
Such enhancements would bring TRAKTOR more in line with the current demands of integrated audiovisual performances and strengthen its position in the professional market.
Thank you for your attention and for Native Instruments’ continued commitment to innovation and excellence.
Sincerely,
dreey
