Mapping for Kontrol S3

    google translator:

I've been using an S2 MK3 so far... I mapped the cue button so that when I press it, the song currently in the browser window is loaded onto the deck and it lights up once (i.e., in & out, etc.).

Now my problem: I now have an S3 and would like to set it up the same way here, but when I select the button using the learn function, it's always "the one cue button," even if I change decks using the buttons...

So the track loads onto both decks on the left (or right) side... How can I map it so that it only loads onto the deck I want to control (a→c or b→d)? I always only get to the one cue button...

You need to use modifiers that trigger when pressing or holding the deck and shift buttons ('override' option must be unchecked). Those modifier value need to be restricting the functions you want to map to your decks as 'modifier conditions'.

I did this for the s4mk3. Here is a link to some qml mods, but importantly i also provided a TSI to be used (at the end of the post). I have called this a modifer skeleton, as it provides the modifier structure that you can add functions to.

Read the explanation next to the download, then download the s4 TSI file, open it and read it. Then you will know what you will need to add to the S3 TSI file.

You need to assign a modifier state to each deck
    For exmple
For deck С button you need:

    Add In - Modifier #1

    Modifier Conditions M1=0

    Type of Controller - Button

    Interaction Mode - Direct

    Set to value - 1

For deck A button you need:
    Add In - Modifier #1

    Modifier Conditions M1=1

    Type of Controller - Button

    Interaction Mode - Direct

    Set to value - 0

After that all commands you want for deck A must be with Modifier Conditions M1=0 and for deck C with Modifier Conditions M1=1

For deck B and D you should use another modifier - M2 for example

Okay, i copied the section from my post that describes what values to use:

    Excerpt:

"The mapping includes a modifier skeleton for you own mapping use that recognizes SHIFT and DECK layers in the following manner:

    • Modifer#1 = 0: Deck A
    • Modifer#1 = 1: Deck A (shift layer)
    • Modifer#1 = 4: Deck C
    • Modifer#1 = 5: Deck C (shift layer)
    • Modifer#2 = 0: DeckB
    • Modifer#2 = 1: Deck B (shift layer)
    • Modifer#2 = 4: Deck D
    • Modifer#2 = 5: Deck D (shift layer)"

    File link:

    It looks like this:

Transfer all commands to the S3 mapping and assign the appropriate S3 buttons to the lines. Remember to check or uncheck the correct checkboxes for each assignment (some have 'override factory mapping' or 'inverted' either checked or unchecked).

Edit: Ha, i discovered i already did a transfer, with extra gain knob calibration, for the S3. Here it is:
