Native Access fails to install Komplete Kontrol (Installation Failed)

Hi everyone,

I’ve been battling this issue for days and tried every known fix — hoping someone here has insight.
Native Access keeps failing to install Komplete Kontrol with the usual error:

“Installation Failed. You may need to grant full disk access to Native Access and the Daemon…”

System Details:

  • Mac mini (Apple Silicon), macOS (latest)
  • Native Access v3.1.8.0
  • Komplete Kontrol 3.5.0
  • External Drives:
    • SSD (APFS, 1TB – full Read/Write access ✅)

What I’ve Tried So Far:

  1. Full Disk Access:
    • Granted to Native Access, NTKDaemon, and Terminal
  2. bashCopyEditlaunchctl list | grep NTK
  3. bashCopyEditsudo chmod -R 777 "/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments"sudo chmod -R 777 "/Users/Shared/Native Instruments"sudo chmod -R 777 ~/Library/Application\ Support/Native\ Instruments
  4. Full Clean Reinstall:
    • Uninstalled Native Access
    • Deleted all related NI folders
    • Reinstalled latest version from NI site
    • Rebooted, re-applied permissions
      → Still failed
  5. Tried Different Drives:
    • Switched everything to APFS SSD — full access confirmed
    • Set as install target in Native Access preferences
  6. Tried Library Relocation:
    • Native Access 2 no longer has a “Relocate” option
    • Manually moved library (e.g., Alicia’s Keys)
    • Used “Installation Paths” > Reinstall
→ Still getting the same failure

Everything should work — the SSD is macOS-native, permissions are wide open, the daemon is running, and Native Access sees the drive — yet I keep hitting the same install error.

Any help or ideas from Native Instruments or anyone in the community would be massively appreciated

      Thanks in advance,

Next time that it fails to install then go to the download folder and check if the KK download is completed and there (date and size will tell)(I don't know Mac size) , if so then move the completed download to else where.

I don't know with Mac but maybe remove N.A.

    Then reboot (important)

Then run the moved installer (to hopefully be able to install the KK)

Then re-install latest version of Native Access for your OS

On PC then most KK installer versions requires a previous version of KK to be present to work. If you get that kind of error then first download and install this version : Komplete Kontrol 3.2.1 , then install the newer version.
