Try loading a Midi default template on your unknown model keyboard.

Else then you can also try How to Monitor the Output of a MIDI Controller to check if there is a problem with the keyboard itself.

Is this within a DAW or when using Komplete Kontrol standalone?

As a test, if you use the Octave Shift keys and shift the keyboard range and test again, do the "dead keys" remain with the same physical keys or do they follow the shifted octave? This will at least tell you if it is the key with an issue or just the note.

Any feedback? What model is the keyboard? What's your operating system, DAW, etc…?

Is this happening in Komplete Kontrol in standalone, in a DAW? On another computer? Check the MIDI monitor.

First off, why do you not have ANY tech support??????

Also, there is nothing online that would help with a tech question….

I have a Komplete Kontrol A49 and out of nowhere I have 11 keys that are either

dead or some of them will play if you hit it really hard?????

I've cleaned the pads and it made NO difference. I switched the ribbon cable between the circuit boards under the keys.

I am not happy with the lack of support!

There is tech support, but you have to access it via this link - https://bit.ly/NI_Support_All

It sounds like the hardware is faulty, how long have you had the keyboard?

I opened a midi track and I pressed the notes that don't work (using the a49) and got nothing. I then used my mouse and clicked on

the same notes and got sound…. ???

If I get a sound by clicking in the daw midi keyboard notes and get sound, but get nothing using the a49 , what does that mean.

I re-installed Komplete Kontrol and it made no difference. Could it be the large ribbon cable that I'm thinking goes to the Controller?

    Thanks for the help folks!

A few years but It's never been off my desk in my home. You would think that if I moved it or something then it (could) possibly have an

issue of something coming loose or ?

    But I've never moved it.

Thanks for the info and help!

Here where it stands right now:

If I open ableton's midi editor and click on the keys with my mouse, I get all the notes.

If I use my A49 I have dead notes.

    Please help!!!

That's odd as the link works for me. Try this - https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us

Where are the dead notes? Is it a bank of sequential notes or various notes spread across the keyboard?

Do not post in or open more threads on the same issue , I have merged your threads !

There is support : Please contact N.I. Support (all)

In case that you need guidance contacting support : How to contact NI Support and How to get in touch with our Customer Care

    .

Website functionality : Should you have any webpage functionality issues then since functionality or lack of same could be a browser issue then also try another browser that you have not used before and with no extensions and all cookies accepted (my suggestions for alternative browsers would be e.g. Firefox, Chrome, Vivaldi browser and Opera browser ,depending on what you do not usually use)

The suggested browsers are what I expect will work if having never been installed before on the computer and then used as is with no extensions and all cookies accepted.
