Is there a fix for "unexpected error occured" installing expansions on the plus?

I see the error posted on here many times, but no particular fix.

I've only managed to get one single expansion installed with dozens of attempts. While it fails during the download occasionally, most of the time download reaches 100%, then it tries to install for 5 mins, then the error message comes up

Yes, I've tried over wifi and lan

Yes I have plenty of space on the SD

Yes, if there are residual files left on the SD, I delete them manually before trying again, though most often there are none.

Pls, any advice would be helpful

    I see you already tried to solve the situation with good moves (even deleting eventually corrupted files).

    The only questions that I still have are “what SD card are you using? The original one or one you bought? In that case, which brand? And micro with adapter or full size?”

    Yeah, I'm hopeful it's the SD card that's the issue. It is the factory one I'm using as I've just received the unit, but I have a better card coming shortly.

    Well… the factory one (although not of big quality and a micro with adapter) should not give those problems…

    Did you buy M+ or second hand? Are you sure it’s the factory one?

    I bought the unit new, so it is the factory card.

    I've since noticed, that although I was able to install one single expansion, when I load it all the samples are missing.

    I'm pretty rural and only on a ****** 4G router. It's the only other thing I can think to try is just a better connection.

    Does it have the new logo with the Maschine '+' N or the older one with the red +?

    What are the System Version, Maschine Version and Firmware? All up to date?

    It must be the new one with Maschine "+" N. It says the system is up to date.

    System ver 1.6.1.24

    Maschine ver 2.18 (R0)

    Firmware 0.1.6

    I'm coming to the conclusion that there may be a problem with the SD drive.

    Got the new sd card(sandisk extreme pro) today. Installed fine, but every time I restart, I'm met with the "Unable to read SD card" error and am forced to re-format. I also performed a full reset of the Maschine + both prior and after installing the new SD.

    I'm still having the same troubles with installing expansions though. I can install Chromatic Strings only and it doesn't install the samples properly. All other expansions fail. Either fail to download, or fail to install. This was over a better, though still 4g connection, with full bars of reception.

    I also forgot to mention, that I did have it once where the factory SD card had lost all my songs after a system restart. No error reported, they just weren't there anymore.

    Firmware should be 0.1.9

    There is no improvement after the firmware upgrade to 0.1.9.

    The only difference I've noticed is my wifi no longer works. It connects to a remembered network, but there is no internet. It also wont let me manually disconnect from the wifi without turning on airplane mode.
