problems with instruments after purchasing Kontakt 8 crossgrade

Hi everyone, I just bought Kontakt 8 crossgrade, as I was told this was a possible option for me in the store, I already own multiple Kontakt instruments. I needed some more instruments as im currently writing a score for an animation video for school.

after installing multiple instruments, I found out they were all running in demo mode. I am having trouble to understand why I cannot use any of the instruments, even tho I paid a fair amount of money. I feel scammed honestly.

Native access also only shows wich instruments are in demo mode, after installing them wich is quite frustrating, as It took me a lot of time downloading and installing all those instruments.

can anyone tell me where I can find wich instruments/ expansions/ libraries are included in Kontakt 8 crossgrade? so I atleast now the worth of my purchase? thanks to all,

Firstly - you need to go to your NI Account (via web browser) and confirm that your Crossgrade license - is in fact - registered to you.

Second - confirm the same in Native Access.

If both check out - AND you had K8 Player installed previously - I do not think K8 Player magically becomes K8 Full by itself. You may need to uninstall Player and reinstall K8 Full

Check back in once you have confirmed that you are indeed licensed for K8 Full.

thanks for your reply, I had k8 installed previously, and the crossgrade is licensed to me. the full version is already installed, but I only got a few extra instruments for free, It wasn't clear to me that it was just these instruments I gained a license for after purchasing the crossgrade. I hoped I would get the other ones too but I guess I just had to pay extra for them. anyway learned the hard way :)

Not quite sure I understand. What "other" instruments did you expect to get with the crossgrade?

All instruments in the NI Shop have a price and outside of a few Leap packs and small extras (Factory Library) that ships with Kontakt 8 - no actual retail instruments come with it.

It is just the app you are paying for.
