Just came to realise that whilst this plugin does not allow any parameter controls via macro knobs, it does allow a program change assignment for the 16 pianos (from the 2 models included) by simply turning one of the knobs. I figured it was worth making a quick map with some graphics for anybody interested (NKS2 banner only for mk3) who wants to access the models quickly and easily. Only one preset save allowed, but this allows you to scroll through all of the sounds.

Rev: Updated graphics to match official font.

Similar to my complaint with the JV-880 emulator in the Dev Thread. That one is also off by one increment on the program parameter and the nks saves don't seem to work at all.

Yeah, I noticed the JV was also the same but tons more presets so not really worth it given we can only scroll thru presets, rather inefficiently I might add. Anyway just updated the graphics for the MS-20, as the font was not actually consistent with the official logo.

No, it is worth it. There is access to the 19 cards now. Many of us own Roland hardware and various cards. This is the only way to get the sounds of some of those cards currently.

I also have all of the banks. I was just saying I see no benefit to having it in KK at this point as opposed to standard plugin format, as we are unable to save patches. Hopefully this will change at some point sooner rather than later. I will have a look at making some graphics for it anyway as I am sure we will get there. Meanwhile, I made an app icon for the JV-880 app as the standalone itself doesn't actually have one. Had to install the standalone to make the AU work as it doesn't seem to work in Logic otherwise.

Have included icns file for Mac users as well as .png in case Windows users want to make their own.

Please make correct titles. Its a category not a post…
so, the "VST3" (or any other format definition) on titles is not necessary.

Also categories meant to be by vendor, not by product, but, we can by-pass that in this case, since it's just a guy who just made one emulation…

    Thank you 🙏

I think this is nit picking mate. As you stated, the vendor only has a couple of releases and they are not filed under a vendor.

Category/post??? Some people are never happy! :)

I acknowledge it can or may quite frustrating having to moderate content on here at times, so I have amended my post to hopefully fit the prescribed criteria. Let me know I need to make other adjustments. ;)

So It turns out that the VirtualJV allows the patch to be selected via an NKS save, but only when it is first opened. I am posting at github for a fix ( https://github.com/giulioz/jv880_juce/issues/21 ), but I am not sure what to ask for. I am pretty sure this was a limitation early on with one of the dsp56300 plugins. Even with this limitation, I think it would be worth doing the presets with audio previews.

I am assuming these, aside from when you first open the plugin, won't work. This is the JV-880 Factory bank with previews, but no tags.

Sorry, just seen these. Will probably wait until he develops the plugin a little more before attempting the NI integration, but I think it will happen. Thanks for these though as that's the biggest part out of the way I guess.

I am also finding another commercial plugin that exhibits a similar problem and was told it was specific to MacOS running on Intel machines. Do the presets I provided work for anyone?
