Timecode Vinyl Audio4 AND Z1 - how?

I have been around the block since the dawn of Final Scratch days so I am used to my timecode vinyls and 1210s.

I decided to give the Z1 a go as my main mixer and wanted to use the Audio4 to get the TC signal into Traktor Pro 4 in Windows. I am not fussed about actual vinyl, this is purely for control via time code.

The only way I managed to make this work is with the Audio4All ASIO driver but after about 10-20 records/mixes, there is a massive latency starting to build up on the TC and eventually Traktor just loses the signal sync all together. I can switch to non TC control and all is fine though.

Now there must be a way to make this setup work, obviously the ASIO4All is not a good solution, its a generalized ASIO driver after all.

I would really, really appreciate any help and suggestions on how I can make this work. I am happy to get a new NI Audio TC interface if thats needed, I just want TC control in Traktor with the Z1 as the main mixer.

Thank you for any suggestions, I am at the end of my patience and feel like a dinosaur wanting to mate these things but there must be more dinos out there like me.

Thank you. As it turns out, I was overthinking this. I now run the audio4 as my soundcard rather than the z1 and monitor is through the audio4 jack as well. Master out is one of the Audio4 outputs, so the z1 is literally just a usb controller now.

Amazingly, it all works without any changes in the z1 interface.

I have attached photos of the settings in Traktor, just in case some older DJ like me needs this particular solution as well.

Traktor can only use a single interface at a time. With Asio4all or VB-Audio VoiceMeeter Banana you can combine multiple interface to a single virtual one.

But like you I often had some weird problems.

I would try to just use the Audio4 for audio, and the z1 just for controlling. Connect speakers to Out1|2, and headphones to main. Or something like that.

All without 3rd party programs. I'm not sure if you are still able to control the master and headphone volume via the z1 that way though.
