We are happy to announce the availability for download of the Traktor Pro 4.2.0 update.
For owners of the Z1MK2, we have added Traktor’s well-known overmapping capabilities that enable users to customize mappings beyond the available options in the Traktor preferences.
If you are interested in the Traktor overmapping we’d like to recommend this knowledgebase article (Traktor X1 MK3 Overmapping Instructions – Native Instruments). You can easily apply the examples in the article from the X1 MK3 to the Z1 MK2 and to your specific needs.
We have also added multi-controller support for Z1 MK2 so that you can connect two Z1s to control all 4 channels of your setup independently, like on a 4-channel mixer. This comes with a new option to disable the Z1 MK2 crossfader in the preferences. Shoutout to everyone who jumped in with feedback right after launch. This feature was made with you in mind.
For Beatport and Beatsource streaming subscribers, we have upgraded the search to the newest API. Searches are now noticeably faster and smarter with multiple-term support. You can set the number of search results you want in the Browser preferences which allows you to reduce the waiting time on low bandwidth connections.
By popular demand from die-hard turntablists within the community, we have restored the feature of controlling multiple decks with a single turntable by reanabling one input source for multiple decks.

What’s next for Traktor?
The team is working on various lanes, from upcoming feature releases to updated third party hardware integrations
At the same time, we have successfully laid the foundation for engaging in a stepwise migration towards a high-dpi user interface which will start to show up in the upcoming releases.
There's also something new and exciting in the pipeline that we can’t share just yet… but it’s definitely worth watching for.
We can’t wait to see all this take shape ourselves and appreciate your loyalty, patience and support. As always, this thread will be open for a week if you have any questions about Traktor Pro 4.2.0. Just drop them here - I’ll be around until next Wednesday, May 7th.
