I bought a wonderful second hand Maschine Studio from a guy in Belgium were he live and i do. I picked it up myself so we meet and talked by several cups of coffee bout the instrument a lot and most important how i get that LICENSE he had to transfer. So far so good but once he was at home he can acces his licenses on the website but can not click the one he (we) need for transfer and so he (we) get stuck. He contacted the support several times by now but so far they do no answer it in any way and thats frustrated for him and for me the buyer aswell because i can not use my Maschine and thats not fair. He, the seller, bought the licenses as it has to be so it are his one, he "Ownes" them no? So isn't he the one that control and manage them as he pleased? And if something goes wrong isn't the company responsable to fix it, help him out to get it right? So why don't they? Please help us? Second question if i may.. can i buy the software for the Maschine Studio so i can use it anyway so i do not really need that license incase we can not solve this problem without the help from the support section they not answered it so far? Can someone, just someone help us please? I wanna start that Maschine Studio and the fun and now im really sad and dissapointed in the whole thing.

you could buy a maschine 3 license, just check that your computer meets the minimum requirements

There’s 3 different maschine 3 bundles , first one is just the software, no sounds , the second is the software with the machine central expansion ( collection of drum kits and sampled instruments) the 3rd is the software, machine central expansion, and some plugins

Regarding the license for the Maschine studio itself , you can contact support yourself if you have proof of purchase

Is the seller unable to transfer the hardware licence inside his account?

Ask him to transfer the Maschine 2 software + library for studio license

If i connected it now to my pc (that got all requierments without doubt Sir) can i then finally start it to use because now it start but it stay blanc as we say? yes , you want , the maschine 3 software + maschine central expansion, don’t buy the expansion without the software

That will work with the studio

Shift + midi , enters midi mode , you can use the controller as a configurable midi controller, there’s a editor called controller editor , it should get installed with maschine software .

    you can either

Get the seller to transfer the license for maschine 2 + the maschine 2 library which came with the studio , he might be looking in the wrong place on the website , tell him about my post above , with the image

You could also contact support yourself , if you have proof of purchase, like eBay receipt

To contact support , you have to log in at the main/shop website , go to support , license, second hand , start chat with AI , exhaust all options and it should let you send a message to the support team , include a photo of hardware, license and of receipt.

Or if you don’t want to wait , you could go ahead and buy the maschine 3 software with maschine central expansion , and that will work with the studio ( the hardware doesn’t need to be registered to work , just the software)

you can’t buy maschine 2 , it’s been discontinued, and replaced by maschine 3 , the only way to get it is from the seller , by him transferring it to you , or by you contacting support yourself, and explaining the situation.

you can buy maschine 3 from NI , the maschine studio will work with that , no issues

when you transfer a license, you select it by checking a box , too the

right of the list , if the license can’t be transferred, it will say -Not transferable

Sir, you say i can buy Maschine 3 from NI do you mean by that the software and if so do i still need that license from the seller to get that Maschine 3 works then? Don't you need the first Maschine and upgrade (buy then) the Maschine 3 but only if you have the first one like Maschine 2 to use and buy/upgrade to the 3? Im still strugling Sir to understand it with.. can i buy the software on NI and use it without having the license whatever? You know what i mean Sir? Many thanks for the help but the information you gave or giving me about transerring the license is not so usefull for me but i supose for the seller but he knows what he got to do he told me but whatever he tries he can't click the license box i need to transfer thats his problem not the way to get to that you see Sir?

So short: can i buy the software on NI to get my Maschine to work full and buy expansions later on without having the license from the seller?

Thank you again Sir and again sorry for my bad english wich it make it hard to write and tell well.

If you buy the full version of Maschine 3 (not an update/upgrade) you are buying a license. You can use it with (or even without) any compatible Maschine hardware (Mk3, Mikro Mk3, Studio and Jam). You don't need a license transfer from the seller. That is only needed if you want your Maschine hardware registered to your account. But this isn't necessary for using it.

Only exception: You want or need to use the old Maschine 2 software and/or the Maschine 2 library for some reason. As you cannot buy it anymore you can only obtain it with a license transfer.
