Maschine 2 VST3 bug with fixed velocity for note repeat when "lock" is on. How to update?

When using Maschine 2 VST3 as a plugin inside Ableton, I noticed that when you use note repeat with the "lock" feature on, the velocity of the notes is locked to the one of the first note sent when you press the pad (ie. you cannot do a fill where you start pressing the pad more gently and press harder to increase the velocity of the subsequent notes).

I found out that this is apparently a bug of earlier versions of Maschine 2. Now here comes the tricky thing: my Maschine 2 standalone software doesn't have this bug, as it's up to date. But the VST3 is apparently stuck in an earlier version!

Is that something normal? Shouldn't both be the same version? How can I update the VST3? Tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, but no luck.

hanks in advance.

They should act the same. Are the version numbers on the standalone and the plugin the same? It might be there's an older version of the VST lurking around.

No, the version numbers are different (not at home right now so I can't tell exactly, but I remember I checked it). Do you know any way to specifically update the VST?

Are you on a PC or a Mac? If it's a PC do a search on your drive for Maschine*.vst3 and check that there's only one version of it present in the VST3 folder in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. If there are other copies you can delete them then see if that makes a difference. If you delete other copies and find you can't load the VST anymore check that Ableton is set to use the System VST3 path in preferences.

Also, check that you're actually using the VST3 version and not an older version of the VST2 that might be lying around somewhere.

If you're on a Mac let us know and I'll look out the correct paths to search.

I'm on PC and did the VST cleanup you suggested. Then uninstalled everything and resintalled, but to no avail. Will try again this afternoon. AFAIK Maschine installs the plugin when installing the software through Native Access right?

Yes it should do - what versions do the standalone and VST versions show you ?

    Maschine standalone is 2.18.4

    Maschine VST3 plugin is 2.18.1

How can I update the plugin version?

The bug is annoying as when I'm performing live I like to leave it on lock in order to play fills or 1/16th note arpeggios etc (when you have "lock" on, you can't access the sound parameters, like for instance the ADSR envelope on Sampler, which I like to use to manipulate the sample decay while playing fills and stuff like that).

Try deleting the plugin and do a reinstall through Native Access
