Problems with F1 sequencer with Traktor Pro 4

Here I am again with a question and some advice.
UPDATE 2: before reading all my ramblings, I guess I found the solution to my problem….so what you have to do to get the sound playing is, after you've loaded the Sequencer pack and the F1 is in sequencer mode, you have to press the BROWSE button. No idea why this is the case. I learned this after watching this video on YouTube ( see around 3.50) Then it works as it should… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7RTzji3ZJg
I use the latest version of Traktor Pro 4 on a Windows 10 laptop with a Kontrol S3 controller. Everything works fine. I use the Remix decks on my F1 without problems.
After seeing some videos about the F1 Step sequencer mode, I decided to give it a try. On the videos, they say to add a TSI file. Now I found out with Traktor 4, there is no more TSI option, but I can add a pre-mapped F1 file in the Controller manager Preference screen. However, this gave me nothing but problems. I couldn't change from one preset to another, light started flickering all over the place, no sound, etc> so I removed all F1 devices and restarted Traktor, so it installed the F1 automatically and then the step sequencer worked. So a tip for those who want to try the F1 step sequencer with Traktor Pro 4. Do NOT add the extra device, just try the SHIFT + BROWSE button combo on the F1 to see if the sequencer works.
Now for the problems: The step sequencer works, well at least the light moves, the Sequencer file I got from the NI website is loaded, but there is no sound when I load the sample (let's call it Drum pack 1). There's no movement in the sample deck. However, when I try to play the sample using the pads on my S3 controller, the sound does play (only once as the sample aren't loops)
Then, after some more fiddling (mostly with the edit function to change the name of the file), suddenly the sequencer sound does come on. so victory, right? However, if I load another sequencer pack (let's call it Drum Pack 2), same problem, no sound, no movement on the screen deck. The light on the F1 does do it's thing. I try the Drum pack 1 again, that one works. So my guess was that there was something wrong with Drum pack 2 or maybe the edit of the name messed something up. But after reloading Drum pack 2, suddenly it plays. Yeey !!! BUT….when I try to reload Drum pack 1, now that one doesn't work any longer!! I did try to import the Trak Pack again, no changes on the file names, but still it didn't work. Untill for no reason, suddenly it does.
I imported several of the NI sequencer packs, I can get 1 to work, the others won't do a thing, then suddenly another pack works, but the previous one that did work, doesn't anymore.
I know there is a problem with the S8 when loading a Stems file> You have to refresh the screen before it actually shows the Stem. Could it be that something needs a refresh before the sequence pack works, enabling one, but disabling another?
It's a good thing that I don't really need the sequencer, but if it's there, I would like it to work.
Does anyone else experience the same problems? Did you find a solution? Is this only a problem with Traktor Pro 4? I used Traktor 2.6.8 for the longest time, but I didn't have a F1, so I never tried the sequencer on Traktor 2 and 3.
UPDATE: Just discovered another problem: If I load a Remix set and I change the F1 to Remix deck setting it does strange stuff. I can play sample loop 1 in row 1, but if I then go to sample loop 2 in row 1, it plays once and then goes back to playing sample loop 1. (same for all the rows). I have to go back to the sequencer mode, make sure that it isn't running, before I can use my Remix decks as usual. Maybe this is normal? But shouldn't the two modes, Remix and Sequencer works totally independent from each other?
Thanks for your time and patience, I hope I explained the problem well enough? Thx for all the help.

I hope to respond to this in more detail when i have more time.
Long story short: The sequencer mapping has a few shortcomings. The Traktor function to flip back and forth between mappings (and integrate both to a single or to several decks) is less than perfect. It's best to have one F1 for every functional overlay you need, so no flipping or deck changes are required. So, if you use two remix decks (in either mode), get two F1's. And they are cheap.

Hey Sulherokhh,
I have ordered a 2nd F1 awhile ago, so I can try that solution. Like I said, using regular mixing in combination with Remix decks and a sequencer won't quickly become my standard way of dj'ing, but it is a lot of fun to experiment with the F1'ns.
I managed to solve the no sound issues. The trick was pushing the BROWSE button after the sequencer set was loaded. It serves as a kind of mute button, No sure why, I would rather used it as a browse button, Now, to change from one sample set to another, I have to go back to the Remix deck setting (Shift + Browse) and then use the Browse (and Shift) to scroll through my collection. Load the new sample set and then go back to the sequencer setting.
Another thing I noticed while using the F1 as a Sequencer is that, in order to used the next sample in a row, I have to use Shift + the rotary knob. I can then scroll through the sample list and I can see the sample name changing, but the cell doesn't change, I can load every sample from every cell, but the screen stays locked on cell one. I can change it with the mouse, but I don't like that option.
My main problem is solved, but I'm going to leave this post on the forum, Maybe one day, somebody who's experiencing the same problem can find some solutions in it.
Thanks again for your time and if you want to ad more tips to your answer, those are more than welcomed!

Another short answer: NI's sequencer mapping is incomplete. Sample selection to PLAY (so you can hear) and selection to trigger with the sequencer are two separate functions. The sequencer mapping does only the latter, the normal F1 mapping does only the former.
I addressed some of the other shortcomings in my personal adaptation here:
There are more F1 sequencer mappings @DJ Tech Tools that you can try out.

A little more exotic but you can also try 32-step sequencer for F1.

Thanks Stevan ! I'll check it out
