I had to go this route as part of getting the beta version updated. I skipped the 'restart computer' step and it was fine.
I also had some trouble running the cleanup script, and ended up hacking it with a chmod 777, could well have been how I fired up terminal causing a problem

I had to type "sh" in the terminal before dragging the script into the window.

typing sh helped to get the script to run but them got the following:
The default interactive shell is now zsh.
To update your account to use zsh, please run `chsh -s /bin/zsh`.

Hey to all... when I try to run the Daemon skript, either with sh or without, I get "permission denied". Is there any known workaround/routine? Thx!

Little update. Some users were able to fix the issue by doing the following:
- Go to Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities and open the Terminal app.
- Copy this command line:
- sudo /Library/Application\ Support/Native\ Instruments/NTK/NTKDaemon.app/Contents/MacOS/NTKDaemon
- Paste the command text into Terminal and press enter.
- Enter your macOS password when prompted.
- Start Native Access.
