Ran out of space on MacBook, want to upgrade my software to Komplete 15?

For all of my Mac users out there, I am having a problem with storage. I want to upgrade my software to Komplete 15 and later on I will upgrade my MacBook with bigger space once I get enough money (hopefully soon) but I was wondering if anyone has used a flash drive for a location path? My MacBook only has 256 Gigs and I can't figure out how to free up space on my MacBook without deleting stuff that I need! I have a 2 TB flash drive that can fit all of my content and wanted to see if I can move all of my native instrument library's over to the flash drive and open up space on my ssd so I can update my software to Komplete 15? Also, if anyone can give me any help with storage on my MacBook that would be great also. I have been trying to solve for a while with no solution besides putting content on a flash drive!

Hello Babycreed,
By changing the installation preferences you change the paths of your future installations,
I always highly advise following Native Instruments recommendations regarding file handling, this can help prevent several issues from occurring in the future.
How to Change the Install Locations in Native Access
Applications are best left default, the download location is negligible and the content location may be external if the format is supported.
We recommend using NTFS on Windows and Mac OS Extended (Journaled) on Mac OSX 10.12 and lower, APFS for 10.13 and higher.
Notes on Hard Drive Formats on Mac Computers
To change the paths of installations you have already made please see:
