Why "version of Kontakt is too old" when loading . . Saffron.nki into Kontakt 7.10.7
As far as I can tell I have the latest Kontakt 7, yet Scene - Saffron.nki won't load. (Nor does it show up in my available instruments inside Kontakt.)
When I try to drag it in the full message is:
"Your version of Kontakt is too old to load this file, which was saved with Unknown Tool (unsupported). Please update to the latest version of Kontakt."
My Kontakt app is installed in Applications/Native Instruments/Kontakt 7

I don't have links for the installers yet. Here is the zipped Scene Saffron library. First uninstall the current one in Native Access, then unzip the library, put it along your other libraries and use the locate function of Native Access. Scene Saffron 1.0.0

While it still says "Free Kontakt Player or Kontakt (version 7.10.5 or higher)" on the store page, it ultimatively needs Kontakt 8.1.0+ now (as per its release notes in Native Access).

Yes, as @Monochrome mentioned, this library was updated and now requires Kontakt 8.1. You should have this version of Kontakt 8 available on your system to download and install. You only need the Player/free version to load our libraries.

Is there a way to roll back to the previous version?
I can use Kontakt Player 8 for new projects, but what about projects I started when it was available on Kontakt 7? Is there a way to at least access the data to save snapshots to use in Kontakt Player 8? Seems a little shady to force a change in the access to a paid product, especially without any forewarning

There is no "Scene Safron" for Kontakt 7. Never was. Scene Saffron is (and always was) requiring Kontakt 8. This is all the forewarning you should need.
And this should have no bearing whatsoever on saved projects. As long as K7 is still installed - all your old projects will work. You can install K8 Player alongside of K7 with no issues.

There was before the last update, a version working for Kontakt 7.10.5, as you can see in this post, we changed the system requirements.

My bad. Could have swore this came out after K8. Apologies on that one.
Will there be a link to the older version added that Kontakt "rollback" page?

Could I request access for the Scene Saffron 1.0.0 as well? I am having the same issue with the instrument not showing up in Kontakt 7 any more. I still need the Kontakt 7 version for older projects….thanks

Just be aware that Analog Dreams is like this too, so be careful what you update in Native Access - I generally check the read me before updating now.
Personally, I don't like having K7 and Player 8 on the same system as not sure what would happen if I upgraded to K8 at a later date and removed K7 and Player 8. Would projects fail to load, would the DAW load full K8 in their place? etc.

"Player" and "Full" are one in the same - only separated by a retail serial. So there would be no need to remove K8 Player - as it would simply become "Full" - automatically - if you did a paid upgrade.

You should be able to download the file, it's available to anyone with the link. Sometimes if there are too many people downloading you just need to wait a little.

Hi Jeremy, thank you for your response. I tried using the link without success. Tried yesterday and today. These are the popup screens I get when using the link. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or the link isn't working. Thanks for your help.

@Jeremy_NI , There is no access to download. The link that you have supplied is not one of your usual link. All you get , even if you are logged into Google , is a message that you do not have access to the download and that you can ask for access from up-loader :
