Komplete Kontrol / Kontakt Issue - "Loading Issue - Plug-In not found. Please open the standalone ap

Hi guys!

I've been battling for about a week now.

I can't get the Kontakt (5) VST's to run/work.

I've tried everything, reinstalling, repairing, standalone, DAW (Cubase 14), the guides via earlier posts here.

But no, nada, nothing.

I'm using Windows 11

Komplete 11.

Sidenote: Everything works fine in the Maschine app/program.

But as standalone or DAW (Cubase 14) nothing.

Is this a Native issue where we need an update in NA or am I doing something wrong!?

Generally then you are supposed to be using latest version of Native Access for your OS

Unless that you already tried this then , try this :

Uninstall Kontakt 5

Then run the NI reg tool and remove Kontakt 5 if there

Then reboot

Then download Kontakt 5.8.1 and run installer from ISO as an Admin to see if that helps

Run Native Access as an Admin

Then run Kontatk 5 as a standalone

in case of download problems then try logging in into Google first, if that doesn't help then copy the download to own Google drive before the download.

The above ought to help you circumvent the download limit.

Else then maybe give us a screenshot of any error(s) when trying to use Kontakt 5 standalone

But when I try to run the plug's via Komplete Kontrol standalone or in DAW (Cubase 14) it does not load the plug's. I've scanned it and everything looks right, no splash screens or nothing.

Look at the screenshot I've uploaded. That's what it says when I try to run it as standalone in KK, and the sam thing happens in Cubase.

Please let's fix this! :)

Well , at least that sounds as progress compared to your initial post : "But as standalone or DAW (Cubase 14) nothing."

The standard attempt to fix Komplete Kontrol problems is this (delete the KK DB) : My Komplete Kontrol Browser is Empty or Incomplete , and then run KK as standalone first prior to using in a DAW.

If problem persists in DAW then you might want to try to rest/re-can plugins and also test with new project.

Does it load as a plugin in Komplete Kontrol (not sure if Kontakt 5 even came as a VST3?)

Highly doubtful that Kontakt 5 will ever correctly load at all in KKv3.

We are talking 2011 to 2024. And no - it does not have a VST3 format plugin.

I suspect that that Kontakt 5 was never tested in this scenario as it has been retired for 5 years prior to the release of KKv3.

If there is any chance of this working - it might (and that is a big might) work in KK v2.9.6 - where VST2 are still used.
