having a problem getting Traktor 3.5.3 to output to bluetooth speakers on a Mac

i am running an olde Mac and an olde OS (OSX 10.13.6) withTraktor 3.5.3

i have a bluetooth speaker connectedm which works with everything but the Tracktor programme

i know i am a decade and a half out of date, but i think it is just a preference setting i have missed, though i have the following set up …..

Output Routing: Mixing Mode -Internal; OutputMaster -L&R

thank you for any advise, but i really cannot see what i have missed so i have had to assume that for some reason Traktor does not allow for a bluetooth output for the master, for some reason.

Uhh, yes it should be relavant. I'm talking about the traktor settings, if you can see the device there.

Yes, Bluetooth will have lag and no way to monitor / cue. Even with cable some bluetooth speakers have a delay. Using a cabled from a Controller would make it easier though, and you would have cue/monitor.

But as long as you are aware of the limitation I say use whatever you want. Only a Sith deals in absolutes.

    Hello,

this should work, if the device is set correctly, maybe check in the system preferences for the BT audio device name, and all that. Maybe you just set a wrong output.

Can you see the speaker under "Audio Setup" → "Audio Device" drop down?

the "never use bluetooth speakers for audio applications" seems to make sense, tho why i do not understand

i know bluetooth has a lag, and maybe that is the reason, but i am just wanting to try this out at home and have a Bose system that i use all the time for everything else

it seems a weird decision to prevent me from using bluetooth speakers, one that i did not believe made any sense, so i have tried to get round it, but no way can i achieve that
