Issues with brand new s61 keyboard key velocity

Hello,
My new s61 keyboard has a problem with only the center C key velocity. It's hitting way harder than any other keys. Even when I transpose the keyboard, it's still the center key hitting harder. I also feel like all of the other keys are hitting lighter than they should. I have to turn on the FIXED VEL for random things.
How to fix this?

have you tried updating the firmware

Its a new keyboard (2 months) I did that when I got it but I would like to do that.
How? In the meantime I'll search online for instruction on that.0 -

I appreciate the speedy response. However, I'm not so sure that is the issue. I think I have the most updated firmware. You can see in the image posted showing the firmware and also the C key. Its the same key even when the keyboard is transposed octaves. It's just that same key on the board.
What do I do?0 -
Probably need to contact support

I was playing with my mk3 after I posted , and I could get similar results, if I rec a series of c major chords , the d# key would be the note that was high, I definitely don’t feel like I’m playing that note harder

here’s a c minor chord

here’s a d# chord , but the d# note is fine now

try switching the keyboard sensitivity to soft 3 , see if that makes a difference, It looks like it does on mine

there’s another thread about this

Thank you for the thread. Yeah this is strange and I hate that NI's customer support is pretty bad. What kind of solutions were you able to find? It's pretty awful to always hear that one not blaring when I'm playing.

atm I’ve switched to soft 3 ,for the keyboard sensitivity setting , I’ll do some testing tomorrow

If we are looking at the same setting I saw that on the keyboard itself on the left side of the screen(hoping we are looking at the same thing here). I've tried that as well. It doesn't do anything noticeably different. I've contacted support and hopefully they can resolve this. Since it's software related more than hardware, I would think there would be a way to simply flatten out all of the keys velocity register to the same. Why would it come to be out of the box with just 1 key like that?

yeah that’s the same setting, we might have slightly different issues, like I said earlier my key d# definitely registered higher velocities, but not in every instance
