X1 Mk3 + Maschine Mikro mk3 Traktor 4.1 function confirm

Can someone just quickly confirm:

  1. The X1 MK3 doesn't have a pre-loaded function to switch between decks, for full 4-deck FX, browser, and hotcue (AB, AC… to CD, DA…) without global reset
  2. The Maschine Mikro mk3 doesn't have a pre-mapped Controller Manager load-out for 2 remix decks (manual trigger deck and step sequencer deck)?
  3. There isn't a fully-detailed section in the Controller Editor manual for both devices
  4. The Traktor 4.1 manual doesn't provide full details on the Controller Manager, nor is there a separate manual for the Controller manager?

I'm looking around and have found a few websites with mappings for the Mikro, but I'd rather dig into the thing with a custom Controller Editor mapping and integrated Traktor Controller Editor binding, i.e. a functional equivalent of an F1 using the Maschine, for multi-functionality.

Just to give a clearer understanding of what I'm aiming toward, and why I was hoping for some clarification on the current limits of the control capabilities of the set-up, here's a screengrab from a quick controller editor draft I'm trying to think through

    • Pad Pages A-D would be capable of toggling and triggering samples with/without the step sequencer running
    • Scene button would toggle between remix decks C and D
    • Fixed Velocity button would toggle between X1 control over decks AB and decks CD
    • Step button would start and/or stop the Step Sequencer, which would be of use depending on the remix deck samples loaded

Still working through some of this, the modifier state function leaves room to override the hardware in order to produce a functional 4-deck system.

Unfortunately, it sacrifices a button, because the thing is hard-loaded for every button to have a utility out of the box.

The photo shows the basic premise and everything from there is just add+add+add+add+add+add+add+add. To operate the shift button functions, add a second modifier with modifier 1 as the 1st condition

    enjoy

Why use a Maschine Mikro MK3 when you can find a used F1 for cheap? It seems masochistic.

Couple of reasons, not the least of which that the F1's are a little harder to find new; Maschine mk3 gets me a copy of Maschine, which turns the box into a dual-use controller for Traktor and for Ableton/Maschine during Link sessions. Also, the pads are more useful for learning finger drumming to get rhythmic jottings into midi.

It is, however, a bit of a nightmare for people like me, to have to make sense of the Controller Manager- but, I've sent a request in for the possibility of a more in-depth reference manual or tutorial set on the controls, assignments, conditions, etc.

Until then I'm just gonna try cranking out a useful mapping for both

So, as of now, I've put together a barebones map that gives a certain degree of four-deck functionality. Current explanation and chart is for AB decks at startup (change assignments if CD is selected at startup)

    • All FX on/offs are mapped to global map standards via the M1+M2 combination for decks CD;
    • FX levels and controls are untouched- globally hardmapped
    • all 4 browsers and loops are mapped in accordance with built-in ops.
    • Cues 1,2 for decks CD are mapped (3 to be mapped, 4L reserved for CD shift, 4R reserved for TBD)

Button LED Outs don't look to be indexed-able for the X1Mk3, and assigning the 4L CD Shift to the LED-screens to get browser info are completely out of my wheelhouse.

Current plan is to produce Z1 Mk2 map override to permit Slot Level adjust via stem level adjustment knobs

I think it'd be sweet if those changes were firmware'd into place, to make each of these things even more cross-modular, but I'll make due for now with working through this

No, but there is a QML mod from the community that adds this. You can then long press on BURGER MENU and you can select decks. Not sure if there is a quick switch.

Controller editor does not support the x1 mk3 AFAIK.

Yes, quick deck switch (single-click or double-click MODE, can be selected), quick SETUP access (hold MODE 1 second).
