Native Access will not accept the midi keyboard serial number stamped on the S61 MK III Decal.

The massive amount of content totally devoid of any simplistic instructions to connect the keyboard for a new user. Where is the Komplete Kontrol (Complete Control)

What do you mean by "Won't accept"? Do you get an error message, or is it just ignored?

What have you done so far, after installing Native Access? Also, can you confirm what hardware/OS you're running as your profile says Windows, but you've tagged 'Apple Silicon' to the post?

Port being used by another devise error.

Having too much fun with all these start up challenges?

My interface is s Presonus Studio 24C with no options for keyboard USB "C" inputs. It does have MIDI in and out. It does get recognized by the Studio One 7 software. That works OK with USB C to A/B input on laptop. The single laptop USB "C" (Thunderbolt) on my PC powers the keyboard but refuses to be recognized in the Studio one Options/Accessories/Port Selection. Thus the above error. (I also use a USB A/B mouse) No yellow splats in the devise manager, no provisions for other devices. Am I beached and have to buy a new computer or does a solution exist to find the impossible to locate "My hardware connection" or a simple location where I can download new/updated .inf drivers. Possibly that could help but is doubtful.

Without a schematic diagram then I am not entirely sure if I got this correctly. But to me it sort of sounds if you got the N.I. S-Series MK3 keyboard plugged into some USB port that does not directly (or in-directly through a hub) go into your computer but rather into some audio interface ?

First off you should always think carefully before connecting USB devices to USB ports , especially USB 3.x.x and USB C since you can come across some relatively confusing things and you do not want to fry any units , I am far from an expert in this , I am just saying…

Please forgive me if I have misunderstood you here , but your N.I. S-Series MK3 keyboard is to be plugged directly into the computer or into an USB-C (or A port) hub that goes directly into your computer , no other way other than if you are using the Midi out port which of course goes to Midi devices.

The N.I. S-Series MK3 keyboard while using an USB-C plug is actually only using USB 2 protocol so you should also be able to plug it into an USB A port on the computer using an adapter. On the subject of USB-A ports then these are not certified to high enough power delivery why if using an A port then as general principle you must have an USB-C PSU capable of PD connected to the keyboard (some USB A generation 3.x.x possibly could be certified for high enough power delivery but couldn't say how well that would work)

How well the keyboard will work if using a hub might depend on what else you connect and I can not say how well it will work if connected to the same hub as e.g. an audio interface. But be sure to use either a powered hub and cables that support both data and USB-C PD (power delivery) or also use an USB-C power adapter supporting USB-C PD with suitable cables.

If I misunderstood you here then please excuse me and then please be more specific.

Yes I have a hub but it is out of the equation. (No USB "C" input - Mic's and Insts only) Presonus Studio 24C

I have a direct connection to my laptop PC , with supplied cable, to the only USB "C" power/Data port. The cable Correctly powers S61 MIDI controller but develops port conflicts (Two devices on same port) error message "Port in use by other Device". Tech Suggestions are to rebuild ports, update .inf drivers, run hardware connection service. I have done so and same error. I don't know how to manually assign ports. Any other thoughts

I must be missing something here.

Problem with conflicts like this is that what tech-support says might or might not solve your problem and nobody will know before having tried or before the real root issue has been found out.

Immediately I would check if you could connect the keyboard to an USB-A port and then see if it changes anything , just attach an USB-C PSU to the keyboard when connecting to the USB-A port.

I can try looking into the USB reset/rebuild later or tomorrow if have to..
