When i record notes on my maschine MK3 in keyboard mode they are recording as chords (chord mode is not activated). I believe I may have activated a multinote record feature but not sure how to remove this.

have you tried this in a totally new project? Is this maschine stand alone or as plugin? With chord mode the notes have the same length but that's not the case here, there must be some different cause here for sure.
hi, yes I tried a new project and it was fine to start and then maybe 30 mins in the keyboard mode started recording like that across all instruments.

It only happens in keyboard mode, not pad mode (did you check)?
What's you pad sensitivity set to? Maybe if it's set high, hitting one pad could trigger others…
Do you have any other MIDI or USB MIDI controller on your system? What's your operating system?
What are your MIDI inputs and outputs in Maschine's preferences?
Can you reproduce the issue with only one track, could you do a small video of the issue and post a link to it here?
I am having this same issue. It is limited to the one project as when I start a fresh project, the keyboard mode and note repear function normally
I am using a Maschine MK3, Jam and S88 MK2
If I turn on note repeat on the MK3 and switch to keyboard mode the note repeat runs up a scale even though it is not in chord mode. It will not repeat a single note unless I go back to pad mode. This behavior is mirrored on the Jam but the S88 seems to be able to activate scale/arp mode separately the s88 can still repeat single notes when this happens. The Jam and MK3 end up running arp scales even when only a single note is pressed.
I am thinking this is linked to how the Jam hijacks arp mode with the OSD menu that pops up.
It is as though for note repeat, chord mode is permanently activated with no way to turn it off.
I should note that all the pads in the chord sequence do light up on the MK3, Jam and S88 when I do a single note with note repeat active on both the Jam and MK3.
Since there is no way to access the chord mode functionality in the software alone it seems like this setting is locked but inaccessible.
I have note found a reasonable workaround.
What are the exact settings on the maschine for note repeat, and the mk3 keyboard has I build in arp/note repeat maybe that could explain the difference. If you are on the keyboard on the upper right of the screen there is a little sign indicating in what mode note repeat/aep/scale is I'm not on my PC right now but if you need I can send you a picture how it should look like for the keyboard to control the software arp/nr/scale mode
There are the the 4 shortcuts that appear on the MK3 and S88 for hotswitching between arp modes. I can switch between them and the S88 functions normally. On the MK3 some of the settings seem locked (pattern, octaves for example)
I believe this has to do with how the Jam handles those arp presets. It seems to have its own bank of presets which do not correspond to those 4 on the upper right of the S88 and MK3 screens.

Does anyone know if there is a way to reset the arp presets or how maschine jam stores its arp presets? The Jam arp presets seem like they revert every time I select one using the scene buttons.
It seems like the sequence and octave settings become locked/broken on the Jam and MK3 when this issue occurs. The other settings seem to change normally.
Is there a way to edit the maschine project files outside of the maschine software? Ive tried reinstalling maschine but the settings i believe are stored in the project. Even importing the project to a blank project seems to carry the issue with it. New groups and sounds created inherit this issue as well.

If these settings end up reverting to some locked default, there could be a similar issue with the arp feature.
I am almost certain it is the deprecated Jam arp presets causing the issue. I just dont know how to revert them
