No "VST "- Only "VST3" in drop-down menu

Hi, GForce informed me that there are some big issues with Imposcar3 VST3. The AU ver is buggy too. But I was told the vst2 should work. The problem is that I can't get Maschine to recognize any VST synth only VST3 and AU. I tried adding to library and manually scanning the VST folder. But when I go to a sound slot, the drop down menu does not give me an option for "VST". Only "VST3" or AU. The VST folder is where it should be: Library/Audio/Plugins/VST. Any one know what I can try to have the VSTs to show up in menu? I was watching a YouTube video on Maschine and I saw on their drop-down menu when adding a plug-in, "VST" was an option. I only see VST3 and AU as an option. As I said, I added folder in library plugin settings - and manually scanned folder as well. Thx

    Guessing you are Apple Silicon, so you need to run Maschine in Rosetta mode for VST2 to work

    Alternatively the NKS addon pack by Freelance Soundlabs actually fixes the main problem (initialisation of sound) with the VST3 in Maschine and Komplete Kontrol, as well as integrating it into the browser - although I was hoping GForce would have fixed this themselves by now
