Where are the audio files for browser previews?
The NBPL folder only has weirdly named folders yet it’s 10gb. I want to use the samples as a material for my samplers, mainly the tempera granular synth.

What is the NBPL folder and where on your drive?
Screencap?

NBPL is the name of the folder where Previews are installed. You have to install them separately from the NI and NI content/nbpl is the default location, in my case on my external drive along with all the libraries/expansions/etc. I am referring to the audio files from komplete kontrol browser that showcase the presets with a single sustained note (and having 10gb of these is really useful for granular synths)

The NBPL folder is the main previews folder for main Komplete Plugins and some older libraries but it hasn't been updated for years and these days most previews for more recent libraries and banks come with the library or bank in a hidden folder named .previews, usually at the root of the patch bank. eg:
The folder names for the ones in the NBPL folder are all hashed so it's hard to work out which presets they correspond with (although not impossible), but the later ones such as above are easier to find.

Hmm. I do not see any folders name NBPL. And I have tons of expansions installed. But I am on Windows
All previews in Komplete Kontrol presets are OGG formatted files and reside like this:

I thought these would be audio files… So the only way to get these as sort of one shots is to manually record them?

OGG files can be manipulated easily enough in Windows but I have no idea what is going on with a Mac

This should be the folder for the plugin preset previews. Thanks for the tip on expansions, cannot find the ogg preview files for the plugins though…

Hmm…your content location there -
"This should be the folder for the plugin preset previews"
looks a bit odd - here's mine
ALL my content - regardless of what I choose to install via NA goes into this single top level (L:\Libraries\Native Instruments) location.
Where you seem to be telling NA to put stuff into that NBPL subfolder - which is nested in amongst ALL your other libraries that are already in place. Not sure why you want that…

It's the previews folder I was drawing attention to, not the nksn files

As I said they are hidden, you need to enable 'unhide files and folders' to see the previews folders for each bank

Understood that they are hidden.
I am just having a hard time understanding why the OP is telling NA to put ALL his content in that strange subfolder spot:
/Volumes/rainer 1/ni content/NBLP
when it should probably be more like:
/Volumes/rainer 1/ni content/

I have the content on an external drive, rainer is name of the ssd

and nblp is the default name of the folder that’s created when you download the previews from NA
