I have installed Traktor Pro 3.5.3 on my MacBook Air and my new Kontrol S2 MK3 is not recognized by it. What can I do?

Thanks

Which MacBook Air? Which macOS is runnning on it? Is it just not recognized by your MacBook and lights up if you connect it?

If you connect it: Does it show up in System Profiler as USB device? Have you granted Traktor access to microphones, full disc access and network? (Not everything its necessary on some older versions of macOS). Did you use the supplied USB cable? As many Macs only feature USB-C: Did you use an adaptor to classic USB? Or a direct cable? Have you tried another USB cable?

MacBook Air early 2015 MacOS 10.13.6 High Sierra - it lights up when I connect it and then nothing happens. It is shown up in System Profiler.

Can you select your S2 in Traktor Pro as audio interface in Traktor settings? Does it show up as audio interface in System settings? Have you a S2 Mk3 Pane in Traktor settings?

If you open Traktor Pro and open the settings. For each NI controller I have ever connected I have a dedicated pane at the bottom. In my case for X1 Mk2, Z1 and F1. At that spot you should have an entry for S2 Mk3.

But as you can select your S2 Mk3 as audio interface in Traktor it is recognized: What do you mean by is not recognized? What isn't working?

Yes I have a S2 MK3 pane. But the controller does not work. When I connect it via USB to the MacBook Air, all lights switch on for a few seconds an then all is dark and can not control the Pro 3 Software. Nothing happens anymore, when I move them switches.

Usually S2 Mk3 should work out of the box. If you push buttons or move knobs/faders on your S2 does Traktor show incoming control signals in the top row? Have you already tried to reinstall Traktor? Can you select your S2 as audio output in System settings and does ist work then?
