Installing Komplete 15

Hi, I purchased Komplete 15 collectors edition. I spent a fortune and I can't figure out how to get it to work. I installed Afro Beats for instance. It doesn't show up in my plug ins on pro tools. Lets start there. I'm horribly NOT tech savvy. Is there a suggested youtube video?

Hello,

at first those instruments are kontakt instruments not vst instruments in itself, there are expansions too for komplete kontrol for example. So you open kontakt 8 or komplete kontrol within your DAW, then you can browse lots of stuff from there. Also first start kontakt stand alone first and wait until it has build it's instrument database, it can take a while, same for komplete kontrol. Then you can use it within your DAW.

Can I get Complete stand alone and complete Control from Native access?

I search for both in Native and neither either say its in there and also is not

saying I have it when I click the installed tab on top

Within native access you click on library and then on applications, there you should see kontakt (not complete, complete is the package not an instrument) and komplete kontrol as installed + some other stuff. And please open kontakt 8 stand alone first, it needs a while to scan all libraries and stuff so you can use it. There is unfortunately no indication when it's finished with scanning and creating the database. I had the same with my last new installation and some presets then simply don't open, but after a while everything works. You should see also all apps on your desktop normally or on Mac there is an app folder as far as I know.

Like here only difference is you have the full version of kontakt - kontakt 8 - instead of Kontakt player. Do you use a DAW like ableton or cubase, then you should see the kontakt, and other plugins, under vst3 plugins.

That sounds rather strange to me , but it appears as if you are a Mac user so not only please be sure to be using latest version of Native Access for your OS

But also do all the Mac users must do when using N.I. software :

ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon must have full disk access. : How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS and disks must be of correct format : Notes on Network Drives and Disk Formats

Also then please check that iCloud Private Relay has been turned off : Native Access Error Message: "Download failed" (macOS)

Also then do not use Clean My Mac.

And quote Kymeia : if using Sequoia then N.I. apps must be added to the Local Network

Else then if you do all the above and it doesn't help then you can try installing Komplete Kontrol 3.3.2 , and if that gives you any message that it needs a previous version first then try installing Komplete Kontrol 3.1.0 first. Then if you have a problem doing the downloads here then try logging into Google first or else copy to own Google drive first.

Afrobeats is a Leap Expansion and as such it will only show up in Kontakt 8 (Player or full version) since it's meant for its Leap tool.

Open up Kontakt 8 as a standalone app first, so that its database can be populated. You then click the Leap tab in the Library browser (!) and Afrobeats should be listed there.
