Map "Note Repeat" to external controller
Hi,
I don't like to have to use two buttons on my Maschine Mikro to use the "Repeat Note" Function.
Is there a way to learn it to another controller? Most of the functions can easy be learned to my AKAI MIDIMIX, but I cannot find the "Repeat Note" function in the software.
Thank you

To pin the menu press and hold Note Repeat then press top-button #1, the menu will stay locked but then all pads will always have Note Repeat ON — Which may or may not be desirable.
To answer the original question: No. None of the smart-play stuff can be MIDI mapped to external 3rd party controllers (Arp, Repeat, Scales, Chords, Etc…)

Hiya, glad to add to this “pin note repeat” function. . . 🥁
- Mikro MK3 ❎= No pin, requires holding the note repeat button or using arp.
- Mikro MK2 ✅= Yes, can pin note repeat.
- Maschine MK3✅= Yes, can pin note repeat.
The Maschine Mikro MK2 "pin note repeat function" holds the note repeat on while having 16 drum parts ready to note repeat, it's the stand out feature.
The Mikro MK3 does not do it the same way, it seems to have lost/dropped the pin function, instead the button must be held or use arp mode as a workaround though arp mode makes all 16 pads become one selected drum track instead of 16 different drum tracks.
The big Maschine MK3 and Mikro MK2 can do it, not the Mikro MK3.
Should the pin function be reintroduced in an update for the Mikro MK3/MK4? : ) yes fingers crossed. . . 🥁

Hello,
no you can't map that as far as I am aware. What generation of mikro do you use?

Thanks for the answer!
I use the MK3

So I guess you mean pinning note repeat so you have your hands free. As far as I could see here also unfortunately not possible on the mikro MK3.

Actually I just want to use that function easy with one finger. On Maschine I have to press Shift&NoteRepeat - don’t like!

Then you mean the arp function, ok, but that stays, as far as I know, after you pressed the two buttons but there is no one button switch for that.

Well, just checked it…
I need to press the „NoteRepeat“ Button und the pad with the sound that I want to repeat. So I need two fingers that I have to stretch.
In Ableton you can do that with one finger, way more comfortable

Like on the bigger maschine models, you can pin note repeat and then you stay in that mode without the need of holding a button and you can play pads and with note repeat step size and other cool stuff.
